Our focus is on the development of proprietary geodesic models that characterize the behavior of leveraged long/short ETFs in pairs trades using first principles of Hamilton-Lagrange-Euler mechanics. Because of tracking errors & daily compounding phenomena, equal weightings of leveraged ETFs in a pairs trade are virtually never 50-50. Daily data & graphics will show subscribers where neutral pair weightings have moved along the path of the pairs geodesic thereby providing multiple market direction & re-balance indicators.
subscribers first chose a major market index they want to follow & corresponding ETFs to arbitrage a long/short pairs trade. At the end of every trading day receive subscribers an Excel spreadsheet containing new neutral ETF pair weightings data, daily ETF price changes, plot & data of the pair trade geodesic indicating the movement of equilibrium hence direction of arbitrage, plot & data of geodesic parameters & their 1st order daily rates of change to indicate when to re-balance the pair for optimum performance. Perhaps most importantly, back-tested neutral performance data is plotted along with a high beta performance scenario using data going back 2 years.

this model pairs proshares ultralong (SSO) & ultrashort (SDS) ETFs in a delta neutral arbitrage to form a balanced equity weighted hedge. the same data can be used by aggressive tradings looking for high beta. the SDS-SSO aggressive scenario is up over 88% YTD as of 5-5-09. backtest charts are available for review.
